"Insufficient fare!" beeped the turnstile. Oh no!! This subway entrance had no OMNY, no booth, and no machine! As I turned to trudge back up the stairs feeling quite sorry for myself, a policeman (who was probably glad I hadn't jumped through) appeared on the other side. "Come on in!"
